NURTURE YOUR BRAIN

I felt like I was dying. “This must be a heart attack!” Something was seriously wrong. Heading to the ER at 2am was not exactly what I had planned on doing that night. But there I was. 2 hours, and a million tests later they found nothing wrong.

Cue my second episode. Then the third.

Turns out, I was having panic attacks. They are one of the worst feelings in the world. I wasn’t taking care of my body the way I should have. My nervous system and limbic system were not happy with me. I struggled with anxiety for a few years, and my body finally had enough.

I was NOT nurturing my brain. Had I of known what I know now…I would have been sleeping soundly next to my handsome hubby throughout that entire night, instead of sitting in the hospital scared for my life.

Fast forward through my healing journey (thank you doTERRA!), and certification/training in holistic brain health…I can share with you what I SHOULD have done years ago, and what I am so thankful to be helping others with now.

Four SIMPLE ways to care for your mental health

  1. Nutrition: Easy supplementation that supports the gut/brain connection, AND your nervous system and limbic system.

  2. Aromatherapy: Trigger the limbic system to send positive messages throughout the body and control your stress response.

  3. Gentle walks outside: Walking daily, or at least 4 times a week. Try it barefoot in the grass!

  4. Faith: I know not everyone resonates with #4. But for me, it was the cure all. The tools I share on this website are extremely effective and wonderful…but they are only tools.
